humid weekends

french beard
gigi

This weekend has been ultra-muggy. Sometimes I think it seems to affect my mind. Sunday I resorted to baking a cake, french braiding tyler's beard, and eating lots of popsicles. I might have stuck my head in the freezer once or twice. Gingie is always sleeping in some crazy way to keep the heat off her belly. Sometimes I think September couldn't come soon enough. Beginning of summer? Bring on fall!

**update my sister had her baby early this morning! 8.5 pounds, and it went really well, my sister is so amazing. Little Theodore and mom are resting after a long weekend!

  1. do you give gingie a rinse in the sink you cool her off - i used to do that with O before we had air. he also has a kiddie pool and plays in it in the yard when i'm hanging laundry or picking flowers or whatever outside.

i stayed in and cleaned/worked to keep out of the heat. i was hoping to watch a movie, but i couldn't find the time.

your humid day sounds like fun. i want to get some popsicle recipes from you. thought about you all weekend - thinking about how much fun it would have been if i hadn't cancelled our visit. boo.

    soon, though!
guess this was long enough to be sent in email. oops!

  2. I have definitely been there with you sticking my head in the freezer. Last summer was so hot in Vancouver I could hardly bear it, and spent a lot of the time icing down our old cat Grayling who was obviously so hot that he just lay there and took it! I agree with Shanna, I need to make your popsicles!

  3. Congratulations to your sister and her little niblet! I'm 100% with you on summer... I've been wishing for autumn for more than a month now and will rarely leave my bedroom until it arrives--it's the only place where I have AC. Stay cool!
